Guy Franklin is the founder and CEO of ‘Israeli Mapped in NY’, an interactive platform of the Israeli startups operating in NY, which promotes heavily the Israeli tech industry with many success stories which helped the Israeli economy. ‘Israeli Mapped’ platform shows the Israeli innovation and creativity to the world and promotes the Israeli startups community to investors and other players in the startup eco-system. The platform serves as a one stop shop which connects the startups to the local ecosystem in NYC including investors, corporates and business opportunities and currently features over 450 israeli startups which are operating in NYC. In 2021, ‘Israeli Mapped’ launched an investment arm and currently made 10 investments in Israeli startups, mainly in series A and B, from cyber to retail, healthcare and more. The platform Franklin created received several awards and recognitions, as this is something that changed the conversation about Israel and continues to promote the Israeli startup community in the world. In August 2024, the NYSE honored Franklin with the traditional Opening Bell in recognition for his activity in supporting the tech industry in New York. Guy worked for over 10 years as an accountant at Ernst & Young in Tel-Aviv and NYC and after that served as the Managing Director of SOSA NYC which operated the official Global Cyber Center of the city of NY after winning a tender that was published by the city. During his career, Guy has continuously promoted the tech eco-system in NYC. Guy graduated from Tel Aviv University with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Law. Guy was selected as one of the most 50 influential Jews in the world by the Jerusalem Post (September 2023).
