Raz Birman

Mr. Raz Birman has a wide technical experience in Homeland Security technologies, Cyber and Information Security technologies, Situation Awareness and Management platforms, Video Management and Analytics applications, IP networks and protocols, IT middleware including architecture, protocols, cyber security and backend integration, among other areas. In recent years, Mr. Birman has acted as senior consultant to leading technology companies in Cyber, Physical, Privacy and Information Security technologies and in compliance with standard regulations and laws. As part of this work, Mr. Birman is accompanying companies in the certification process to comply with the ISO 27001 standard and obtain a SOC 2 Type II attestation report. Prior to that, he had served in various technology management positions at companies such as NICE Security, Orsus and others. During his service with Israel Defense Force (IDF), Mr. Birman directed and held a number of research and development and quality assurance testing positions within an elite technology unit of the IDF Intelligence Corps. Mr. Birman holds a B.Sc., cum laude, and an M.Sc., cum laude, in Electrical Engineering from Tel Aviv University; and an M.S. in Management from the Polytechnic University of New York in the United States. Presently completing his Ph.D. in Ben-Gurion University in video compression algorithms using Deep Neural Networks.
